I had no idea they were called the Frolunda Indians.

Me neither, and I still can't get my head around how a Swedish team got that name.

I thought it was interesting that the 3rd hilight clip had him scoring on the Swedish team with the English name 'Lakers'.  Vaxjo Lakers has no 'ring' to it.

Latest update from Hot stove on Nylander and Rinat Valiev:
http://mapleleafshotstove.com/2014/11/10/maple-leafs-prospect-update-november-9th-2014/

as I look at the points for our guys there is an interesting stat. someone named Pierre Engvall with Frodelunda U-20 Super Elite has 20 points in 16 games..lets keep an eye.

Marlies don't seem to be scoring very much?

I know nothing about the Euro leagues so maybe someone here can help me understand something.

Modo appears to have played 19 games but Nylander has only played 9. Was he injured? Benched? How is he doing? Also, what is up with his name - William Andrew Michael Junior Nylander Altelius? I thought he was just William Michael Nylander but when I went to look him up this morning I see that he has more names than some whole families.

Forsberg Has High Praise for Nylander

Nylander was cut from the team on October 6.  MODO had already played 8 games by October 4th and Nylander didn't dress for the game on October 9th due to travel.  So no missed time, it was just a byproduct of when the season started.

He joined Modo late after NHL preseason and there was a small delay in getting him signed as well.  So Modo had already played games before he signed.

This kid with all those names is doing fantastic and will certainly be with the big club next year.
I would like to see him build about 20 Lb of muscle in his upper body to do some bruising or at least be able to handle some of the punishement he will face in this league.

So if he maintains a PPG pace that puts him in pretty solid company for under 19 players in the Swedish league: Link

Even with a drop off, his performance is sensational, how long before the Toronto media is sending crews to cover every game?

Yeah, but is he polite with the media?

Supposedly after their last loss he told Swedish report Joonas Siegelsson: "Komma bort fr?n mig."
Man, he really invited Siegelsson to run his hands through his majestic hair?

Is it still assumed that Nylander will go to the WJC, or is there any chance that MODO either can or does choose to keep him because of his performance?

I've never heard of a European club blocking a prospect from the tournament before. And even if they somehow could, I'm sure the Leafs made sure that wouldn't happen when they agreed to loan him to there.
