Just like everybody predicted, the LA Kings have won 7 games in a row and are now finally back in a playoff spot.

L K said:To the shock of no-one. I think the most disappointing thing however is how quick they did it. There is no way they finish 8th to knock Nashville out of the playoffs in the 1st round and improve our draft pick.
CarltonTheBear said:Boston just lost Krejci for 4-6 weeks. They once had a pretty firm grip on that final playoff spot in the East but they have just 2 wins in their past 9 games. The Panthers are just 3 points back now (technically 4 since Boston will probably hold the tiebreaker), and with Krejci down that could be it for them. I'm torn, I'd love to see the Bruins miss the playoffs, but I'm not sure if I could handle all the "Dave Bolland and Shawn Thornton lead Panthers into playoffs" articles.

Come on...it's getting a little ridiculous in Buffalo.
Aaron Portzline @Aportzline ? 4 minutes ago
Told James Wisniewski's list of 10 no-trade teams was put together in a way to make it more difficult for #CBJ to trade. In other words ...
... teams with no cap room and no need for offensive defensemen were approved, while teams with glaring need/cap room were on no-trade list.

Just the other day I was wondering if a player/agent would ever pull a move like this with a NTC. Well, there you go.
Deebo said:It just means they'd have to approve any trade to those teams, not that they flat out won't go to those teams.
Deebo said:I assumed most lots of trade lists are put together like this, at least partially. Depending on how many teams they are allowed on their list, some would be places they don't want to go and others would be teams that would be interested in acquiring them. It just means they'd have to approve any trade to those teams, not that they flat out won't go to those teams.

That could definitely be true but it basically transforms a limited NTC into a full one then. That was kind of my original point that I didn't bring up here. Limited NTC's can be just as dangerous as full ones, and a GM shouldn't go around boasting about the fact that his team doesn't have any full no-trade clauses among his group when there's half a dozen limited ones (*cough* Nonis *cough*).
Frank E said:I think the NTC thing is just so that the player has some degree of control in a process that will eventually lead to them moving on one way or another.
Frank E said:So I read that Miller is out...I don't know Vancouver's cap situation (the NHL really has to do something about access to that info), but would Bernier or Reimer be of interest maybe?

Lack has been pretty good for them and they have Markstrom, so, I doubt they're interested in anything more than a short-term backup type.

Thanks Killjoy McThreadender.
