This one is a bit of a surprise. I know he's got a lot of years left on his contract, but, it's at good value. I guess they'd rather avoid the potential recapture penalty issues instead of trading him, because I can't believe no one would have been willing to pick him up.

With Ehrhoff now officially being bought out, they're a shade over $30M with 14 players signed. They need to add ~$21M in salary by opening night.

And, his contract expires right around the time they might be able to be good again!
@TSNBobMcKenzie
I would imagine BUF's pre-draft offer to take other teams' bad contracts, accompanied by draft pick(s) to BUF, remains in effect.
Potvin29 said:Or is his so bad that not even Buffalo would take it to get to the floor? They could probably just buy him out.

A ton of dead cap space for 6 years while they're rebuilding? Yeah. I mean, right now, they have some good young players, but no one who looks like they're going to need big money any time soon, so . . .
They'd probably want a nicer asset than I'd be willing to give up to make that move, though.

Fixed it for you.
bustaheims said:While Clarkson is probably out of the question for Buffalo, I wonder maybe if they'd be open to maybe taking Gleason. It's a short deal and at a position where they could use some depth.
