2015-2016 Toronto Raptors Thread: We Have "It"!

Could we maybe have one series in this town in Baseball or Basketball where this BS nationalistic garbage doesn't come up and the proudest holders of Canada's inferiority complex don't show up to clutch at their pearls at even the slightest hint of offense?

This wouldn't have been a problem if people listened to me and just stopped including the national anthem in professional sporting events.

I'm going to put this in my signature line, if that's OK with you?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the singing or playing of the national anthems in sporting events.  If an individual cannot focus their attention whether standing (or even sitting in a wheelchair) for a few undivided minutes, must be something wrong with the person.

As for inferiority complex, nationalist bs , ah what...eh??!  If it truly bothers you -- and no, we Canadians do not feel inferior to anyone. Thought you knew that -- that's your problem.

It doesn't overly bother me that Wade did what he did.  He didn't disrespect Canada, he disrespected the singer singing it.    In one word... idiot.

They're being handed this series on a platter and they're too incompetent to just take it. Which ultimately might be for the best as I really don't have a ton of interest in watching them get embarrassed by the Cavs.

It's really absurd to me.  The team had the game under control with Joseph-Ross-Carroll-Patterson-Biyombo.  Lowry fouls out and they start taking Biyombo out and have Derozan in who proceeds to fumble the ball and take more contested jumpers that he misses.  Lead gone.  To OT and the offense falls apart.

Is Casey honestly this stupid?  For a guy that supposedly loves defense, Derozan is awful at it.

I appreciate the frustration with Casey, I feel it too, but truth is the Raps would be winning these games going away if our backcourt was anything other than historically awful.

No doubt. But Casey realizing that DeRozan is not feeling it last night and keeping him out of the game is a very, very simple adjustment to make. The frustrating thing is, he kept him out for over 12 minutes. But then with the game on the line he brought him back in?!?!?!? It's baffling.

In regards to our backcourt, at least Lowry brings something other than scoring, he hustles and makes an effort on D. He gets rebounds and can get assists even when his shot isn't falling (which has been every game in the playoffs except Game 3) But DeRozan brings absolutely nothing outside of scoring and when his shot isn't falling he is a liability out there. I realize I might just be stating the obvious here.

Nonetheless, at the end of this season, both Casey and DeRozan have to be gone.
