As we suspected, sources say #nhljets will put Ondrej Pavelec on waivers today
This one's big. Pavelec was seriously holding the Jets back from being a really good hockey team and it didn't seem like their coaches knew it. Handing the reigns to Hellebuyck could make them a playoff team.
(It's "reins".)

One, I think.

I don't really mean in a chemistry sense, more in the sense of the team's plans. I think a management group can get married to "Okay, Player A is on the first line and he does X, Y and Z well" and so on throughout the roster and then if you introduce someone else with different strengths/attributes you have to look over the entire composition of the roster and decide if everything still fits the way you want it.
Sure, a team might look at a simple "Pulkkinen comes in, Brown goes down" swap and maybe that's where you make the change so it might still happen.

Waiver pickups usually have at least one major game flaw. Which flaw is an automatic deal breaker for you?
