2018-2019 Toronto Marlies Thread: Hail to the Champions...and Onwards!

Ya Rosen didn't look good after he came back. Right now it looks like Sandin needs another year or so with the Marlies. Completely agree that Borgman looked like our best D and Lindgren very poised.

Their goalie (cant remember his name) played Goal against the Leafs in Tampa bay years ago when I went to a game there.  He played well, Hutch not so much.
Agreed I love the way Sandin sees the ice and all that but he is still prone to rookie mistakes. He didn't play bad by any means, but is lacking the consistency is all. Kid has the skills. Hollowell looks so small out there but he's quick and smart. Great skater and puck mover. Most of their D does this well. Borgman was really good though and he's got some jam. Plays a tough game. Don't know what the Leafs plans are for him. There are a few guys that can seriously push for jobs next year. Engvall would be a huge upgrade over the goat in skating ability alone. Guy can fly for a big man.

the next month and a half will prove to be hugely interesting.  What does Marner get, do either Kapi or Mango take an offer sheet?  Will Jake be thrown a line, will Kadri or Zaitev and Hainsey be gone? Will we resign ourselves to Marleau for another season?  If so will Bab's have the guts to play him on the 4th line?

What Marlies will be on the Leafs?  Will the Goat be traded to Montreal? Tune in folks, it's going to be a hellavu ride.

Marlies get eliminated in double overtime on a controversial goal:

Tough way to go out, but Charlotte finished 1st in the league in the regular season by a pretty good margin. And getting some reinforcements from Carolina being eliminated didn't help the Marlies either of course.

Charlotte neutralized the Marlies PP in much the same way Boston stuffed Marner.

Troll...

The Marlies do work with an exceptional budget and resources compare to their peers so they should be good. It is possible Keefe gets a little to much praise.

I just wanted to point out Keefe's ability as a coach has nothing to do with Babcock sucking as a coach. That fact remains the same.

You seem very angry about a light-hearted joke.

No, I actually welcome your trolling ways and am happy to engage.

Fire Keefe lol

edit: see, this is trolling because I know now how irrationally upset it makes you. My first post though, I don't know where you got trolling from making a joke in a direct quote to someone I frequently kid around with on these boards.

Lots of potential veteran spots are open on the Marlies now. Greening, Jooris, Mueller, LoVerde. I'd imagine we'll see some AAA players signed to replace them.
