Man the Rangers lucked out massively with him.

He was going their regardless of where he was drafted. Same with the Leafs and Hyman.

People will say the Leafs Fleeced Florida getting Hyman for Mckegg.  But he was coming here regardless

Just saw that Ryan Millar has retired, he won more games than any other American goalie in NHL history and used to stone the Leafs a lot when we was with Buffalo.
Happy retirement Ryan.

Not sure where to post this, but I think it's worth the read:

Brock McGillis is/was a fantastic goalie. He has been a huge inspiration to players in the area here in Sudbury. It has been great to see him turn into a fantastic goalie coach, he also works with players of the highest calibre in preparing them for potential junior careers. I think the mental struggles he faced as a young junior player (remember, he played junior hockey 8 or 9 years before he came out) has helped him in teaching mental toughness to his students.

I did not know of this connection with Brian and Brendan Burke. I do remember thinking how great it was when Brian took such a stand for the cause. I remember being proud of being a Leaf fan at the time. Hockey aside, the thing to be most proud of in life is our achievements that help others. For that, we all owe Brian a debt of gratitude.

Looks like Byfuglien's enjoying the retired life. Wonder if we ever see a defenceman like him again.

This is pretty wild. This could be the first season ever in the history of the NHL in which the top scorer has more points than the penalty leader has in PIM. McDavid vs. Domi.

Edmonton just crushing Calgary right now. Wow. McDavid is playing out of his mind. They'd be so screwed without him.

Matthews needs to keep scoring goals as a Richard Trophy buffer against the possibility of McDavid putting up like 9 goals in 2 games. I wish I were joking.

The Oilers have a goal differential on the season of +24. If you count their games against every team *except* Ottawa, they have a goal differential of... +1.

They can double that to +2 If they hold on to beat Calgary!

Calgary was in it right to the end. Workmanlike effort by Calgary but they can't pull it off. Kind of annoyed by Edmonton turning it on lately.

McDavid has got 7 games left to pick up 13 points to pick up 100 on the season. I say he ends up with 99 just like Mario ended up with 199 in 1989.

Purely for selfish reasons I want him to stop scoring so Matthews wins the Hart but that's probably not happening lol.

No more points and like five own-goals for McDavid and Matthews has an outside shot.

I remember the hockey pool I was in with my buddies before Crosby's rookie season. We were all kind of curious what round he'd be picked in. Then my buddy, who is a genuine idiot, took him in the first round and we all mocked him because there were way better choices. We knew Crosby would be pretty decent in his rookie season..... 102 points
