He had a rough year on a terrible team. There?s legit arguments that almost that entire roster could go unprotected and it wouldn?t hurt the team.
And he wasn't so good the year before in Montreal. Certainly not worth the 5.3 he's getting.

He produced around his career norms last season, which is a roughly 50 point guy. That?s pretty much what that contract gets you. It looked bad compared to his previous season, but he wasn?t terrible.

He had 24 pts in 54 games last year...A .444 pt/gm pace. That's a 36 point pace over 82 last year. He did produce well in the first half of the season in 19/20 in Mont. He finished with a .61 pt/gm pace however he scored at a .43pt/gm clip the last 30 games of the regular season.
So the last 84 games he's producing at a 36 pt pace and he's not good defensively. His contract is terrible in my books.

Domi had a bad season but he also played for a coach who he never seemed to fit with, was bounced all around the line-up, and had the lowest one-ice shooting percentage/PDO of his career. I think that he'll probably be a player who is always plagued with inconsistency but with a coach who can get more out of him and on a team filled with misfits like himself he seems like the kind of player/personality who would really be poised for a bounce back season.

Seattle's also just going to have a lot of need for offensive talent and space on their cap sheet to be able to take swings on a couple of higher priced guys like Domi.

Not directed at you Herman....So what? That was 4 years ago. It's the same as people saying now you have nothing left from the Kadri trade if Seattle takes Kerfoot. People really need to let go of the past.

Yes, hindsight is 20/20 and all that, but holy sh*t, there's a couple kicks in the nuts there for Columbus.

Puts a reasonable floor on the Hyman conversation, right?
But also a try to be the team paying the first contract, not the next contract.

The Rags have Cap space. Love Goodrow but that is way too much for him. Never scored more then 8 goals in a season. That's almost the max I'd want the Leafs to give Hyman.

I now expect Nashville to trade for Shea Weber (LTIRd) so they don't face recapture penalty. There Must Always Be a Weber in Nashville.

And replace him with?
