Who on earth is sending Mike Commodore of all people this information? Like I'm sure some of his posts are educated guesses, but like you said he nailed that one way ahead of everyone else. And that's a pretty random trade to guess so he legit got a good tip.

As strange as it is to see Buffalo acquire Simmonds, I'm actually surprised New Jersey couldn't get more than a 5th for him. He's not having the best season and all, but still.
 
I guess the Sabres still have a shot - they're 6 points out, the Leafs are fragile, and Panthers making questionable moves.  Might as well take a shot?
 
On TSN they just thanked Capfriendly for being where they go for contract info.

Man, if only they knew people at a big media organization to pitch a site about NHL cap info.
 
Parise's still a reasonable 2nd line option for now, but, with 5 years left on that deal? Unless Minnesota is retaining a big chunk of it? Yikes.
