2021-22 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

I don't blame Kampf for the two PP goals scored against but I don't think it's entirely a surprise that the PP isn't as awesome without Kampf.  It was a great deflection and kind of a broken play/shot (bad clearing attempt from Muzzin) on the second goal.  The puck probably never enters the zone if Kampf is playing.

The PK is def better with Kampf. Muzz messed up on the 1st goal. Campbell blew the 2nd, Durzi goal. That was very stoppable. That was the first PP goal against for Kase who was knocked down at the Leafs blueline...Nylander got a penalty for a similar play.

What was it, like 1 month ago and the sky was falling but we didn't realize it was falling on Vanc. and Montreal.

This streak is insane, the big boys were doing all the scoring TO won then the offense dried up for the big boys but TO continued to win via defense and timely scoring from odd sources.

It appears Keefe has tapped into the team's actual desire to win, their character is showing, something I don't know if I can say was apparent for years, decades, players willingly giving up individual accolades for the sake of the team as a whole.

I'm liking what I see and I know, I'm sure we all know, we will see the sky falling again this season, even exceptional teams have spells but after how well TO played last year and that level of play carrying over to this year we might be seeing TO growing up to become an actual Cup contender.

Reports of his death were greatly exaggerated?
Turns out he was only "mostly dead", and they were able to bring him back because of his true love for Kase.

Lifetime movie: Czech Mates

WW2 movie featuring Kase as the hero who assassinates Hitler in retribution: Mine, Kampf

You have not acknowledged my Princess Bride reference, and it disappoints me.

As you wish.
That?s more like it.

The Leafs practice this in their development sessions. You can see it in Simmonds? improvements this year, the way Matthews/Marner/Nylander play.
