He's heading back to the KHL. Leafs down another depth guy after already losing Brooks and Amadio to waivers.

Just didn't feel like being here anymore?

The lack of depth is really going to bite us in the ass.

He did well for the Marlies, but didn't really show much in limited views for the Leafs. Doesn't seem like much of a loss.

Always like to have depth but i have to be honest I was terribly underwhelmed by his last game and seen some glaring errors.

But a very small sample

Sure, except depth pieces like this are literally the easiest thing to find on waivers, in trades, or by signing guys on AHL contracts/from other leagues.

He seemed like a guy who just maybe wasn't suited to the 4th line.  I don't know who he deserved to bump out of the top 6 to get an opporutnity there on the wing but I'm not too fussed about losing him...it does kind of suck losing all that depth though.

Wonder if this changes what the teams plan is for when everyone comes off LTIR, which could be soon-ish (knock on wood). Engvall was a potential cap causality but no matter how you cut it losing your 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th forward on the depth chart isn't something any team would be too psyched about (granted the Leafs were able to replace one of those guys with Clifford).

Also could Vegas' impending cap crunch please happen soon so we can get a shot at getting back one or both of Brooks/Amadio?

DeBrusk since 2019 - 124GP 27G 28A 55P 0.44 PPG (9G/13A on PP)
Mikheyev since 2019 - 93GP 15G 25A 37P 0.43 PPG (0G/0A on PP)
Like I said previously. I wouldn't trade Mikheyev for DeBrusk straight up. It's going to be interesting to see what Dubas does when everyone is healthy...someone has to go.

It was fun (and life giving) to debate the depth deployment 2014-2019, but I'm having a difficult time caring about what happens at the replacement level layer (and below) of the team, which is now beautifully at like 1 spot of the 4th line.

Barring anymore injuries, I think Liljegren gets sent down to the Marlies when Mrazek and Mikheyev come back. Leafs will run with 13 forwards and 6 D.
As for depth, the Leafs still have some good pieces although they have taken a pretty big hit. Seney, Steeves, Anderson, Der-Arguchintsev are doing pretty well. It's going to be interesting moving forward.
I wouldn't mind getting Brooks back but not Amadio.

It's largely just sort of symbolic, but I think there's something to be said for thinking that you "get ready to go to work"...a lot of people that work for our company told me that during the lockdowns, when working from home, that they started getting dressed-up for the zoom meetings because they felt more prepared and in a better mindset.  Whatever, but I'm sure it's not too taxing on hockey players to dress up and roll up.

That's probably true. I mean, for me it'd be a big deal because I've gained 10 lb and refuse to buy new clothes. But that's probs not an issue for NHLers.

Miss Vickie?s branching out into more flavours has been enjoyable but not for my waistline
