I kinda get Fleury from Minnesota's perspective, but moving your good young goalie at the same time is weird.

Be funny if it was the Leafs.

What is that condition for Fluery? I  mean seems cheap. I guess Dubas couldn't make the dollars work.

EDIT: Seeing conditional 1st, I guess I shouldn't assume condition means low pick.

This seems mostly reasonable. Problem for the Leafs was there was only enough cap space for him or Giordano. Considering Fleury's play has been trending downward lately we'd still be relying on a goalie turning their season around with or without him.

Mrazek puls 50% retained solves the cap side (mostly anyway), but if he went for a 1st, then what, it's another 1st to take Mrazek and keep 50%? Gets pricey quick.

This is what happens when you think helmets are for wussies.

A 25 year old goaltender isn't a terrible thing to acquire.  I'm not sure that Kahkonen is that good of a goaltender though.  He has a .907 SV% over two seasons + 5 games.  They really don't want to do a hard rebuild there.
