My head says it's crazy to spend $11.738 bajillion on 34/16/88/91 and then put it all in the hands of a guy who's played about 10 games in the league.

I would also approach Dylan Ferguson who spent a good chunk of time with the Marlies (not playing) last year.
L K said:My only concern would be with both Russian goalies, Hildeby and Petruzelli signed to contracts...who is missing out on playing time to keep that #3 goaltender ready to play. Tough situation to be in as everyone needs development time.
CarltonTheBear said:Yeah honestly I was a little surprised both Russian goalies signed. Considering their age/experience spending at least 1 season in the KHL would seem like the better idea right now. The only thing I can guess is the Leafs thought they'd be stuck in the VHL again.

Do we know for sure both Russians are coming over this year? Wouldn't surprise me if one or both stayed in the KHL/MHL/VHL system for another year, if they can.
Also, AHL teams rotating 3 goalies happens pretty frequently, so I'm not super concerned about that, either.

I recently watched the Kominskey Method where he played a supporting role just for the 1st season. Not much I didn't like about him as an actor.Rob said:Guilt Trip said:Alan Arkin was awesome...Highlander said:The Russians are Coming....The Russians are Coming...RIP Alan Arkin.
Loved him in Little Miss Sunshine.

It's possible it played a role but I'm not sure I'd really jump to that conclusion unless it was specifically mentioned at some point. It's not like there's a mass exodus of prospects/players from the KHL right now.
