2023 Draft Discussion

This covers basically everything that I'd look into on my own (but don't have the resources to): who is ranked rather poorly on Bob's list (i.e. NHL scouting community) vs public scouting (different biases), and where there might be opportune 'fallers' to snatch up (after Colorado/Carolina already had their chance :( )

Quoting PPP:
And honestly, that's about where I'd rank the three of them with the exception of maybe But.

I never heard of this guy But until now but ? uh ? let's just say the offbeat material will write itself.

Mock drafts really seem all over the place, even more so than usual, so it's impossible to predict who could be available by the time pick 28 comes around but some names I'd be looking at are: Quentin Musty, Eduard Sale, Otto Stenberg, Calum Ritchie, Charlie Stramel and Gavin Brindley. Hopefully one of them is still there.

Sure seems like the late stage of the 1st round is going to have an above average amount of prospects with a high-ish ceiling.

Quentin Musty is the clear choice of that group.

There's a solid argument for that. Although it also probably makes him the least likely to still be available at 28.

I'll continue to make this complaint every single year until they change things but holy god do they need to either let Bettman make the choices or tell the teams to just make the choice. I don't care what nickname their fans have or where their draft party is or who they want to congratulate.

Also I'm probably 20+ drafts deep now and the next time a player says something interesting after being drafted will be the first time. Please god, transition this into a broader discussion about the league and the teams than asking 17 year old kids if they appreciate the sacrifices their parents made.

Oh man....Carey Price.........

As Nik said, these 40 men on the stage nonsense things and then you can't even say the kids name
