With the leaks being plugged such as they are I find it hard to take Dregger seriously. Not that I ever really did.

I don't get why they are like looking to trade Carlo for mid round picks. Who will replace him?
Yes, because he's full of shit.Darren Dreger is hearing rumblings
Someone linked me to Howard Berger's post too saying his "sources" say a California team is offering two firsts for Matthews. I don't know what sources Howard Berger has given he works as a funeral director now, but whatever.Yes, because he's full of shit.
Just because it can happen, doesn't mean that us fans will like that it happened.Darren Dreger is hearing rumblings

Yeah. I don’t really mind if they don’t get max value for Rielly, but I find it hard to believe they’re going to have 6 better defensemen on the team this fall.I have the same concern about Rielly
I think Philly's 7th dman might be a replacement for Benoit but would be hard pressed to be a top 4.
McCabe does not make sense in a trade, best left-D the Leafs have and is on a cheap contract.
So the GM was bad & fired
The coach was bad & fired
Rielly is bad and being traded out west for whatever (not likely a top 4 dman coming back)
Carlo is bad and being traded for a couple of mid round picks
Benoit was bad and traded
And now McCabe is being floated?
______ Raddysh
OEL Tanev (if he recovers)
Andrae _______
You could add a Norris winner to that group and I'm not sure it would contend.
A bunch of this is crazy talk
Gotta generate clicks and engagement.McCabe does not make sense in a trade, best left-D the Leafs have and is on a cheap contract.

Emphatic agreement except I still think he's probably their best dmanMcCabe does not make sense in a trade, best left-D the Leafs have and is on a cheap contract.
You forgot to include the popular catchphrases of "lots of chatter and rumblings"I think I could be a sports twitter guy.
"Until it happens, it hasn't happened, but I think a thing could happen, but there is always a chance that thing won't happen, but if that thing does happen, remember that I alerted you to the possible thing that happened."
I'm on this boat. I understand the cap hit is a touch high, but he's still an extremely talented offensive defenseman. Rielly, Raddysh, OEL make for a very mobile offensive backend.Obviously Rielly has been talked about for the last few years so I'm not going to deny the reality that a trade is probably going to happen. I fall on the "I'm not sure that trading him with the Berube stink is the best idea". 7.5M isn't necessarily the best cap number but unless the trade is an overpay...I'm leery that we will get a negative return kind of trade that just creates cap space in an environment where we don't need cap space.
