Neither Bertuzzi or Domi have impressed me early.  Bertuzzi seems to do a lot of nothing being the 3rd guy playing with Matthews and Marner.

I wished Reaves would have knocked a couple of his teeth out when he had him down on the ice. Would have been worth 2 minutes and secondly probably wouldn?t have been on the ice to score.
 
Through three games I really don't like this defense.  It seems too slow still.  Pick a lane.  Either be defensively questionable but electric at getting the puck up the ice or be slow and dominant defensively.  We seem to be doing neither.

Gio has to go, dont think that Benoit is the answer for #6 dman but come on there has to be better options on Marlies or toiling in minors somewhere.
Hawks have a decent blueprint for success, lots of speed up front and towering defencemen with long reaches that take away space and passing lanes.

Not sure I'd be leaning so much on McCabe as they seem to.

I liked the additions in the off season to add some toughness maybe some additional scoring but that (scoring) wasn?t our issue and hasn?t been last couple years. Brad should have address the D and I think he will. With the cap issue it?s tough until you move someone out or JT?s contract is done. Regardless it?s our weakness.

Leafs are always missing that big minute eating stud on D that just sets the tone for the rest of the pairs.

Problem is who do you lean on? None would be an obvious choice.

I almost feel like Bertuzzi is too chaotic and unpredictable.
