So, who are the best prospects who might be available in the 10-14 range of the 1st round?

I know Potvin was pumping Jared McCann's tires. He kind of seems like a safe pick though. I'm tired of those. I'd look at whoever out there has the highest offensive ceiling. Screw intangibles and grit. I haven't done too much research on the draft this year because I didn't think we'd be in this position, but William Nylander, Ivan Barbashev, Nikolaj Ehlers and Kasperi Kapanen are names that seem to fit that bill.

McCann is really great offensively.  Team has impacted his #'s.  Consider these comments from the coach & GM:

?He played against top competition most nights and did a lot of little things well,? the coach added. ?I know he had higher expectations offensively for himself, but he never cheated the game. He was committed to the defensive side of the puck.?

?But the fact we require our centres to come so deep in our zone and take on so much more defensive responsibility limits Jared's offensive production,? Dubas said. ?But it also better prepares him to be a professional.?

His offensive upside is actually why I want the Leafs to grab him - think he might fly under the radar a bit because of his point totals when from what I've witnessed he's got fantastic offensive abilities.  He's a great passer and has a great shot.  He's still rated pretty highly despite that.

But I'm also biased, so take that into consideration.

But what are his advanced stats and possession numbers like?
