If only we could be sure that putting a talented young center on a sheltered scoring line would produce satisfactory results!

He has to somehow prove he's up to it, despite not being provided with any opportunities to do so.

53.09% EV 24 HOLLAND,PETER - 81 KESSEL,PHIL - 21 VAN RIEMSDYK,JAMES

11.9% EV 24 HOLLAND,PETER - 41 KULEMIN,NIKOLAI - 12 RAYMOND,MASON

Seriously, Carlyle, could you just put the kid in one lousy position to score.

That was a great first period... Considering the garbage we've seen lately. Hopefully they don't ease up.

Not unless they're protecting a lead in the 3rd. The we'll play rope-a-dope hockey

mirtle: That's 12 goals allowed by Leafs PK in the last eight games. Unreal how much they're struggling there.

mirtle: Now 13 goals. 2-1 Bruins as Krug rips one in.

mirtle: Leafs PK has killed only 61.8% of opportunities in that span. PK down to 77% on year, fifth worst in NHL.

That's Wilson-era penalty killing despite having two goalies in the top-10 in save percentage.
