sens have added Jacques Martin as a senior advisor to their coaching staff

There are 3 former Leaf assistant coaches serving as NHL head coaches (nearly 10%!) and 2 former Marlies coaches serving as NHL head coaches, and only 1 former Leafs coach (who is double dipped in the former Marlies coach bin).

I thought they should have tied a can to him a few years back when he kept playing Binnington in the playoffs and he was flat out horrible.

I didn?t know the Blues fans felt so strongly about their coach.

I will be happy for the Leafs to take this ungrateful scrub off their hands for a hard nosed, good locker room, fantasy football commissioner.

Yeah. NHL coaches and execs don?t get fired in the same way the rest of us shlubs do. They get relieved of duties and still get paid in full for the rest of their contract, unless they get hired somewhere else. It?s not a fun feeling, I?m sure, but it?s not as callous as it feels.

Good question.  I don't think there is an NHL coach making less than a million.  I could be wrong though.  A quick search has a few sites saying average salary is around $2.5 million.
