ECF: (A3) Montreal vs. (M2) New York

I mean, say what you want against Montreal but high scoring playoff hockey can be quite fun.

I like the Habs style and the Rangers, too.  Fast-skating hockey with all the 'trimmings' a.k.a slapshots, headshots, puck bounces of peaks & valleys, incredibly loud crowds (moreso Bell Centre), 'war' words (accusations by both sides), crazy refereeing, etc.,etc.

This series has had much more than what the other one (L.A./Chic) doesn't.

At this stage, the Habs are looking poised to take the series if the Rangers don't "wake up" in time.

Suspension in waiting for Rangers John Moore's hit on Dale Weise...

Must have been put up by a Habs fan..."Flying elbow"??? The elbow didn't come up until the follow through and it was no worse than Prust's hit.

Either way 2 games for the high hit even if he didn't break his jaw.

So Moore will miss game 1 of the Stanley Cup final.

The suspension was handed out Wednesday, so if the series goes the distance, he plays in the SC Final.  If Rangers win it all the next game (tomorrow night), he sits out Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.

It loaded up on my computer in super slow mo and it was hilarious to see just how far back his head went. Just when you thought it was done, it would tilt even further. I thought it was going to fall off. ;D

I tend to defend those types of incidents, because it's human nature to flinch a little bit when you notice an object being swiped toward your face, but that was just a clear-cut embellishment. Good call by the refs.

Yeah. There's flinching and then there's that. I just thought it was exceptionally funny that that level of embellishment came from an incident where it was pretty clearly the player's own stick that hit him. I don't think St Louis' stick made contact with anything other than stick.
