Thai season, yeah I think he is.  When both are on their game Matthews is still better but something isn't right with him.  Way too many games where he looks ordinary.  His defensive game is great but the offensive game from Matthews this year doesn't have nearly the level of dominance it usually does
 
I?m not sure what Woll is going to pan out like but more quiet in the net than Samsonov. If Ilya could learn some of that he?d be a much better goalie.

Exactly my point last night. He?s not getting paid top money to play great defensively. Ditto too many nights where he looks ordinary for sure.

I agree Matthews is good defensively, but even there, better than Marner?
