Game 14 - Bruins @ Leafs - Saturday November 5th, 2011 - 19:00 EST - 7-0 L

to be honest I think that our first line has been the worst of all 4

Slump busters again - Bruins hadn't scored a PP goal on the road all year ... Until now

Tough to get too down on them though. That was pretty nice execution there. I know the tendency when you've got a low ranked PK is to attribute every PP goal against to the team's failings but sometimes you just get beat clean. Even the best PK teams are going to give up goals.

The Bruins haven't really been that great in this period either, despite Healy's ramblings. They are ahead because the Leafs can't kill penalties. They haven't been dangerous at all 5-on-5.

I'm torn between the fact that our PK is so bad and our record is so good.... Somehow, I think the lousy PP and PK are going to catch up to this team soon. But, we are strong 5 on 5

Columbus are down 4-0 already, and Mason has a sv% of 75% and York allowed the first shot he had to face...poor Columbus?

Is it my imagination or is the main camera angle a lot higher than what it used to be? I'm referring to the camera that's obviously based at the
center red line...

To think about it in another way, if you goalie lets in an average of 3 and a half goals a game, then your offense will have to average 4 goals a game to win consistently.  Unless your a top offensive team, that isn't going to happen.

Or to look at it another way, Gus has a sub 3.00 GAA and a + .900 SV% in his last four games so he's been good recently.

your picking and choosing the stats your looking at Nik.  You focus on the worst games Reimer has had, while focusing on the best games the Monster had while at the same time ignoring Reimers good games and ignoring the Monsters bad games.  To be "fair" you should treat all games equally and take the stat totals.

lame period by the leafs...feels as if either boston is reading our game well, or we're just not working very hard...

Yeah. I mean, other than the PP goal they scored, I can't remember any other real quality scoring chances they've created. The Leafs didn't look good to start the period, but, Boston didn't really do anything to take advantage of it (other than the PP goal, of course).

They may start a fire sale. There is no hope.
Hopefully...5-0 now, at least York is up at 50% now.
