Bozak, since starting off the year on a torrid faceoff pace is now down to 54% on the draw. His last 3 games have been under 50%. Kadri has now gone 4 of his last 6 games over 50 percent. Even so. Lets break it down. Say you did switch Bozak and Kadri, Bozak wins 5.4 out of every 10 and Kadri wins 4.6 out of every 10. So 1 faceoff difference out of 10 is the reason to leave a 3rd liner on the top power play line? Doesn't seem to make sense to me. Faceoffs are important, but not in this case.
Bonsixx said:The fourth line needs to play. And they usually play a decent shift. They had tough luck tonight, especially on the second goal, and they were benched for it. Just like Carlyle sent a message to the top line a few nights ago by giving Orr equal ice-time, he sent a message to the fourth line tonight. Work hard, grind and don't put the team in dangerous situations. I'm sure it will be received.
The problem is they should never take defensive zone faceoffs, which Carlye lets them do all the time.
