Game 24: Toronto Maple Leafs @ Anaheim Ducks W5-2

Out in the West, this works great.

Grey Cup game then on to the Leafs!

Yup, perfect start time ! Watch the Bombers and Lions battle for the cup, I expect a really close game there, then hopefully end the night with a Leafs win, which would make this weekend very successful (picked up a 46" HDTV at black friday for 300$) in Fargo.

Anaheim's beat reporter interviewed Lupul yesterday, he had some pretty candid comments about his time in Anaheim:

Q: Did you get a sense right away that things wouldn?t end right in Anaheim?

A: It was tough to say. After a while, I realized it in my conversation with Randy. He said he didn?t? think I had the skill to play left in wing in this league being on my off side. So he wasn?t going to give me that opportunity here. And I?m not going to knock Corey Perry or Teemu Selanne off their right wing spot. So pretty much after that conversation I realized that I probably wasn?t in their plans here.

Here, I came right in and they decided to put me on left wing. I worked hard at it for a couple of months, taking a lot of pucks on my back hand and doing things over there on the left side. Now I?m much more comfortable on the left than I think I was on the right. It?s just a new position. I feel like I?m a more dangerous player coming down the ice with the puck on that side of my body. It?s worked out well.

$300? Do you have to wind it up or something? Crazy good price.

I'm just impressed that anyone would bother to go to Fargo.

So Aulie plays tonight? Or is Gunnar good to go? Doesn't make sense to send Holzer back after sitting the entire road trip and call up a guy who many felt was struggling all season long.

Nice opening post!

But the title? Come on! Are you trying to win an award for the longest thread title?

He's at least putting himself in the running. I think he's got as good a shot as you do of winning the award for most complaints about the GDT title.

That is Mordac's hardware!

I don't get it either unless Aulie is already there, ready to play tonight, and Holzer gets sent down due to Grabovski coming off IR.

Aulie found out yesterday morning. Took a flight from St. John's to Toronto, four-hour layover, then to LA. Was in town last night.
