3-0 Leafs, Reimer shuts the door, Kessel breaks out against the B's with 3 points.

That would be fantastic!

The booing of Kessel in Boston, or the mocking him by chanting "Thank you Kessel" is annoying. It would turn from annoying to funny if Kessel made them pay on the scoresheet like Alfredsson does against Toronto where he is also booed.

Does anybody here care that Wilson lied/misled people about the Reimer thing? Because the media, particularly Cox of course, seem quite upset about how Wilson did things. I personally don't care one bit.

I don't have a problem with what Wilson did.  -Even if it was to mislead the media (not that I feel that's the case here or anything.) I've been quite satisfied with Cox's coverage of the Leafs of late but without knowing what Cox actually said, I think he should stop being a whinny little (female dog) here.

No and who gives a rat's behind what Cox thinks......

I assume the usual ones will get pissy about it.  Mirtle's already made a Twitter comment or two about it, too.

Lying to media -- There are situations where it has to happen (eg trade rumours).  You get used to it.  But it's why other people get called.

The media self-righteousness is quite amusing.  We demand all of your knowledge because we are the media.

Someone should go ask the media to reveal all of their unnamed sources.  And they better not lie or I'll hack into their emails to find the information.  What?  That would be wrong?  Hmmm....

:(  Have to miss this one tonight.  Good luck to Reims, hopefully he'll weather what I expect to be an early storming by the Bruins.  If he does that we have a chance.

Siegel went through it last evening on TSN and in that discussion acknowledged that Ron left the door ajar in his discussion with the media scrum for Reimer to start. (I posted about this in the lineup thread)

If Cox's feelings got hurt or he was typically too smugly removed from the media scrum to figure what Jonas figured out or he was just too stupid, good for Ron! Maybe Damien will call Ron's Mom and tell on him and complain that Jonas Siegel is smarter than Damien.  ::)

That's been his modus operandi for years ... when he's caught being wrong

Three years missing the playoffs and the genius still thinks he's smarter than the rest.

Its always amusing how the liars in sport are always the ones preaching abt "character"

Again, if Cox is so much smarter than Wilson, how come Jonas Siegel caught on to 'dumb' 'lack-of-character' Wilson's remarks and superbright, ultra-perfect-character Damien didn't?

And after that was pointed out to Damien, he ignores the facts and carries on with his accusations. Par for the course for this smug **** ***

I know folks don't like Cox but as I alluded to earlier (of late) I found his coverage to be reasonable and gained some respect... Which just went out the window.

When he leaves his ego out of it (which is rarely) he actually can write some good stuff. But it's at moments like this, where he can't help himself - he has to be the "superior one", that he loses most of us. I gave up on him long ago.

Bit of a surprise, as Tuukka Rask leads the #Bruins out for warm-ups. James Reimer for #Leafs. That's the goalie matchup at the Garden.

There are times when I think that the Leafs are needlessly and pointlessly antagonistic with the media and not as forthcoming with them as they could be/should. Because of that, I think Cox makes a somewhat fair point that you can't do that and act like offended schoolmarms when a reporter calls someone outside the organization for information.

That said, in the general sense, meh.
