Game 4 - Colorado Avalanche vs Toronto Maple Leafs OTL3-2

Bah oh well it was a hard-fought point

Night could have been easier if the PP showed up.  What's the latest update on Connolly?  :P

Not one of Reimer's best efforts.  We have a B2B coming up, right?  I'd give Gus the start Weds and bring back Reimer in BOS.

He's got a bit of a stomach ache and a bruised finger, he could be out until December.

GDI, I just turned the game back on after eating dinner and got to see Colorado score the winning goal.  >:(

Franson totally went to sleep and let Jones get behind him, and that was it. :(

Not sure what hte problem is on the last one. Man completely left alone in front of the net who makes a nice move to beat the goalie.

If the last one had an odour then Kuli's did as well. I think they were both just good goals.

I like Reimer and think he's a good goalie, but it's rare to see a positional goalie look so awkward at times. He's got moments where he's like an unholy mix between Giguere and Justin Pogge.

Oh, and I think we all knew Giguere was getting the W tonight. That just seems to be the way the world works.

I think Reimer's played generally pretty well this season but I have noticed a slight issue with rebound control.

Still, nobody's perfect and all that.

Reimer did give up a couple stinkers, but did keep the Leafs in the game. The last goal was the result of blown defensive zone coverage, so I'll give him a pass. :)

Franson did NOT have a strong game. Not only was he asleep on the game winning goal, I watched several of his headman passes miss their intended targets, going to the Colorado players instead. Schenn wasn't that great either.
Strong game though from Phaneuf (except for one turnover) and especially Gunner. He's pretty slick with his stick in his own end, scooping out pucks along the boards and getting the puck out of harm's way.

Good job to come away with a point. They dominated the 3rd. It's always a bit easier to lose an OT game when your team was down with 4 minutes to play.

They need to get the 2nd and 3rd lines going and they desperately have to do something about their powerplay.

Reimer needs to solidify his game. He can't keep letting in bad goals because eventually the other team is going to just straight up beat him (like they did in OT) and it would be nice if there wasn't already a goal or two up on the board when it happens.

Overall a good effort. Could be better. Could be worse.
