Game 44: NYR @ TOR - Jan. 14 - 7:00pm - CBC

Didn't see a good replay of what happened to Komisarek there, but if nothing did, he was basically on the other side of the ice for no reason.

Hughson was talking about a pick, I didn't really see it, but Komisarek was floating up high and even if he was slowed up a bit, he's an oaf and can't adjust when anyone comes at him with speed.  I think he has gotten worse with each game he has played since coming back from injury.

Kessel and Lupul are missing Bozak, Connolly does not work

He's lazy. Looks like he's carrying a 20lb bag of potatoes on his back with him. No effort most nights.

Just because a player isn't especially speedy doesn't mean they're lazy.

What does he do? He's good with the puck one of the most nifty centers and talented but he shows no emotion out there, won't hit anyone as he is probably too scared he's going to get hurt, don't really care for him or the whole line really when it comes to defence, I could go on. Sure he puts up some points here and there but who wouldn't playing on the top line and getting 1st PP minutes. I agree with Drummond Bozak is the better choice just with his speed alone. Connoly is too slow then in your opinion but I say he's lazy. I would throw him back to the 3rd line when Tyler's ready.

Bozak is also more defensively responsible and I believe also better in face-off circle.

No but he does seem to be lacking in that intangible "second effort" a lot of nights.  I don't see a lot of emotion out of the guy.

I always have a hard time telling with guys like him because of the way he plays.  He thrives on slowing the play down, being calm with the puck, and so he kind of always is on the same level which is probably why he is able to play like that with the puck - not get too out of sorts by running around too much, etc.

I thought I remember reading players say he was one of the hardest workers outside of games, so I'm sure he works hard in-games too, it just might look different than the way a guy like Mike Brown has to play to keep his job.

But it's hard to tell from TV, so who really knows.

In no way is this an excuse for tonight -- the Rags have been airtight -- but they mentioned that NY has had very few injuries.  We've had our share, and I think we are missing Bozak and Liles more than most people think.

Torn between the Hab and Sens game. Don't want to see the gap widen between us and the Sens but can't stand the Habs.

All 5 guys on the boards and Gaborik gets a breakaway on a play that started in the Leafs zone.

When he gets backing up in a circle like he was there, he is unable to get out of it and just does this huge backwards circle way out of position.  It's crazy.

I really think we are missing Liles.  The 4 wins in a row kind of masked it a bit, but I think he's very important.

It's sad how the sens are a better team than us this year.

What are they, 8-1-2 since the Turris trade?  Will probably win tonight too.  I can't believe that.

The forwards are a good group of guys, and they have scored a lot this year, but it is games like this that show the limited individual talent on the roster.  So many fumbled passes and they don't seem to be able to make good plays when they are pressured.  The Rangers have played the Leafs very similar to how Boston plays the Leafs and I don't think it is surprising that the Leafs are down 3-0.

Another back to back with 0 points that started in Buffalo.  Could be in 9th tomorrow.

What do you mean 'another back to back with 0 points'?  The stat I saw was going into last night's Buffalo game they were 6-1 in the 1st game of the back-to-backs on the season.

You know, good for them. It doesn't even bother me which is weird. Assuming they're in and we're out come playoff time, I might even pull for them which is weirder. I'm not sure why but I have no hate for the Sens right now.

I'm not going to cheer for them, but it doesn't bother me that they're doing well, there's a lot of talent still on the team.
