Game 47: MTL @ TOR - Jan. 21 - 7:00pm - CBC

I'm sure it hasn't helped yeah, but if anything he should be getting less.  Give ice time to the players who are doing things and generally more noticable that Casper-Kulemin.

Classic chicken and egg scenario.  "He needs more ice time to produce", "he's not producing, why give him more ice time?"

He was getting more minutes earlier in the season, but they've been cut back as he wasn't scoring.  Simple as that.

The point was that he hasn't been invisible and he's off by what, 10 or 12 points?

He hasn't been invisible in the same way that Steckal, Crabb or whoever haven't been invisible.  He gets quite a bit of ice time, of course you're going to see him every now and then!  :-*

In fact, I'd say Crabb has continously outperformed Kulemin game in and game out.

Oh and at the end of the year he's going to be "off" by 20 goals, let alone however many points.

The biggest area of concern is his overall shots being down and his shooting percentage being down too, both are somewhat correctable.

I agree.  He needs to start shooting more.

Also, remember how fast he looked last year?  He used to blow past guys.  I haven't seen that at all this year (well, he's been invisible so yeah... I haven't seem much of anything save for 1 nice hit against Gaustad).

He's also getting 2 full less minutes of ice time on average, not that he deserves more but that has an impact too.

I guess you haven't been watching, it was Kaleta but whatever, you've made up your mind and I don't agree with you.

Kaleta, sorry, was thinking Gaustad off the top of my head... either way, thats probably the most memorable thing he's done all season and even then, it clearly wasn't very memorable.  Oh, actually, I remember him going 22 games between goals or whatever it was.

A guy at work jokes with me that his son can never become a GM because he becomes to attached to the players.  He won't admit when they make a mistake, or are playing poorly, etc.  You remind me of that kid ;)

Anyways, we're past the half-way point of that season and Kulemin, in my mind, has been awful.  We can agree to disagree and you can take your medocrity and sugar coat it.  I'll take the level of play he's given us and scrutinize it until he starts producing again.  Or, you know, at the very least looks like a live body out there.

I must add, I don't dislike Kulemin.  I'm just calling a spade a spade here.  He can be better.  A LOT better.  And we need him to be.

That's why i'm hoping he comes out a changed man after this all star break.  Stranger things have happened.

Didn't Burke sign him to a new contract on the premise that this player could provide offensive prowess down the line?  Yes, he may be a more 'well-rounded' player to some, but, scoring goals was his specialty.  Where did they go?
