Game: 49 Maple Leafs at NYIslanders 7:00PM RSO

I think if one of Washington, Florida or New Jersey loses in regulation, Leafs will move into a playoff position (assuming they come back and win).

What are the odds that they all get points tonight?

Sabres, Bruins and Flyers will come through for us.

McLean: Grabovski is a perfect #3 guy.

Kypreos: Most you can get for him is a 2nd round pick.

Haha

I'm pretty sure they said similar things about Kaberle last season. I pretty much disregard everything they have to say when it comes to potential trades.

Tonight they are actually trying and getting outplayed by the ISLANDERS....

Well, that's just completely untrue. For most of the night, I've felt the Leafs have been the better team.

Oh, well if that's how YOU feel, I stand corrected!!

Well, they've largely controlled the play, had more scoring chances and better scoring chances, and, if it weren't for a long history of questionable record keeping on the Island, my guess is the shot totals and such would reflect that as well.

If i counted shots that sail 5 feet above or to the side of the net as scoring chances, I would agree with you.

Bout time. Gardiner has been very good since coming back into the line-up. It's almost like sending a rookie to the pressbox for a little bit can actually be beneficial to a player with a solid mental make-up.

But we're losing and the Islanders have crosschecked Phil a bunch of times.

I picture you spending a lot of time trying to figure out why the Leafs don't make the playoffs.

Man u gotta laugh the Isles complaining about goalie interference and the Leaf player clearly cross checked into Montoya.

I'm not sure there's a ton to be made of who's outplayed who tonight. Having the puck on your stick is all well and good but if the other team is keeping you to the outsides and blocking a lot of your shots then they're outplaying you defensively. One of the things we've seen a lot with the Leafs this year is that their speed has really served them in terms of carrying the play but when it comes to the nitty-gritty stuff that ends in ugly goals they're not always able to make that happen.
