Game 50: Leafs @ Pens, 7:00pm

The third goal last night killed me watching it in replay.  Gustavsson could've just slammed his glove on it and smothered it but he looked like a baby trying to pick up a watermelon seed with two fingers.  I'm tired of the shootout too.  I know teams used to trap to preserve the point in OT but Let them go 4 on 4 for five minutes and if that doesn't solve it get rid of the shootout and let them play another 5 minutes 3 on 3 with forwards only.  That's sure to produce a goal and would be way more exiting than a shootout.  If no one scores then they both get a point.  But a loss means no points.

The SO was pathetic last night.  I mean at least Grabovski took a decent shot, what the hell were Kadri and Kessel doing coming in so slow?  I want to forget everything that happened after the 10 min mark of the 3rd last night.

Well no need to penalize a defenseman.  I say just play 4 on 4 til its over.  How long could it take?  The game opens up a lot.  3 points for regulation win and 2 for OT win, nothing for a loss in OT.

ITs the St. Louis comeback all over again...

Gustavsson should have the 3rd goal... Ref was brutal for not allowing the 1st Bozak goal...

I just caught the Bozak non-goal in the first period. Seriously, all you can do is laugh. I'm not sure there's any sport in the world that's more impacted by the (inconsistent) decisions of officials than hockey.

It could have been worse - last night, Minnesota had 4-1 lead on Nashville in the 3rd and lost in regulation. At least, the Leafs got a point out last night's debacle.

I think there should be equity in the value of games, you gotta have the point for the OT loss. Right now we have some games that are worth 3 points and some that are worth 2 points. I don't think that makes sense.
