He now has 8 goals in 7 games since coming to the Knights.

How many assists?
4 assists for 12 points in his 7 games.  I wouldn't get too excited though as I would expect him to put up these type of numbers in the OHL at his age.  Lets see what he does at the AHL level next season as it will be awhile before he gets a shot with the Leafs if ever I would think.

I agree that's he needs to show what he can do at higher levels but he's had two pretty good years in the OHL and he's 19, not sure what you're trying to get at here.

It's actually very reassuring considering how bad Eerie was doing, and his numbers were suffering as a result. Now at least we can see the kid isn't regressing all that much, just suffering from a lack of talent on his team.

We shouldn't have high hopes/optimism for anything because it leads to disappointment.

?The bright side of it is? that if we break our necks getting down the cliff, then we?re safe from being drowned in the river.?

Nice to see what he can do now that he finally has a decent level of talent around him. His 34 points with Erie still lead the Otters in scoring, even though he was traded almost a month ago.

If recent history is any indicator, McKegg will be trade bait this year or next.

And what recent history is that?

Yeah not sure what trade he is referring too, the Didomenico package perhaps?

I'm pretty certain he's talking about the Nolan trade in which we lost Brad Boyes. Seems like it was just yesterday.

22 points in just 11 games for Kegger since being traded to London.

Sounds like we have a good one there.

The year after Kadri was drafted, in 56 games he had 35 goals, 58 assists for 93 points.

I just want you to take a deep breath that its quite possible McKegg does nothing at the NHL level and/or that it takes a while before we even see him.

Anything is possable, but this kid has the hands and after  the trade we are now seeing what he can do. maybe its also possable we have a hidden gem here, sometimes you have to open your eyes that the leafs can get lucky with a pick.

While there's certainly a strong chance McKegg doesn't turn into anything spectacular, it's probably worth pointing out he did go 2nd overall in the 2008 OHL draft. He wouldn't have gone that high without the talent being there. The kid has talent, there's no denying that. Whether or not he can turn it into anything at the NHL level obviously remains to be seen.

Kadri is an example of why McKegg might not make it?

SSpeaking of Dido - anyone know what became of him ? I really wanted to see him in Blue & White as he wasa great player for the Seadogs.
