Habs @ Leafs - Oct. 8th, 7:00pm - SN, Fan 590

Can anyone point me in the direction of a legitimate ticket reseller???  Going to be in Toronto tomorrow and would love to go to this game.

Galchenyuk is going to have a good season, methinks.

Yup. Rielly has exceeded all my expectations so far and I think he's going to be a stud, but I'm still a little irked we couldn't manage to draft Galy.

I didn't know they were in the same draft. Wow.

I think Reilly will be a good NHLer, but I can't help but think if he was in any other market than Toronto, he wouldn't be getting anywhere near the hype, and more than likely would still be in the AHL.

Why do you think that?

Personally I think Rielly compares well to R.Bonk.

I sort of agree with 2bad ? at least about the hype part.  Whether Rielly would be starting this year in the AHL after having spent last year in junior ... that's debatable.

The main thing I want to see is him not regressing like Schenn did.  I really think his poor soph season helped undermine his confidence and he's never recovered.

What is the 'hype'?  I think he legitimately looked like a great pick, and put up good point totals (comparable with other great young D in similar age seasons).  I don't really see anyone going crazy with the hype.

Bobby Orr comps, IIRC.

It is going to be a great game. I call it 4 -1 TML. Kozun with his first.

I looked at the line up and still dont know how Frattin made the team. But it is better then the alternative me thinks.

GAME DAY BITCHES!!! We're in first place!

Looking forward to the game and wholly expect the Leafs to be better:
  • A new defensive system, could not possibly be worse then last year system wise
  • Robidas and Polak should provide some much needed stability on the blueline
  • Analyitics!
  • Assistant coaches
  • The removal of the Neanderthals

I am optimistic this season and will predict the Leafs will be the only team with two 40+ goal scorers (Kessel and JVR obviously).

Can't really agree.  There hasn't been an exuberant amount of hype around Rielly, at least not as much as is being suggested here.

He is going to be really good.

The networks expect me to watch a hockey game that doesn't include Colton Orr, Frazier McLaren and George Parros???

Robidas will make his Leafs regular season debut sporting an A on his jersey:

Carlyle says Robidas was pegged as an alternate captain right from when they first started talking to him.
