The difference in this gsme was goaltending

Hard to fault two on one goals but his play overall was scramble and not in the good way
 
Bummer.  Sorokin > Samsonov.  That was a nice shot though, and credit to Sammy for hanging in there until the end-of-reg magic.
 
Brutal way to end it, but I take the pt and move on. They're a better team when they more conservatively in OT. Also man take away the pass.

Ah, they go for it and if they miss, goalie has to stand on his head.  It's as good a strategy as any.  That was a tough shot for Sammy to deal with.
 
Marner sees Matthews take it to the net and I know you head to the net for a rebound etc but if he stays back a bit instead of going behind the net the game is still going on. Just stupid on 16's part.

Watch the replay. When Matthews takes it to the net and lets the shot go Mitch I think should be stopping. He gets ridden off by the Islander player and then has to go behind the net and then he's f'd thus the 2 on 1.

Sammy didn't play it well and Rielly has to stop the pass...that's the D's job on a 2 on 1. And I agree, not laying it in M&M...you go for it in OT.
