Kadri "made available" -according to 2 teams

I like the idea of going after O'Reilly. He's not the #1 center everyone wants but he'd be a real good #2.

I guess the two concerns are what his salary demands could be, and what the Avs would want for him. His cap hit is $5M so the Leafs may not the space to accommodate him (I'm not as familiar with the current cap situation as others here)...

This is exactly the part that has me thinking: Riemer has to be available, at the very least; talk about Jake won't stop. If we add in that our second-consecutive grumpy coach doesn't much like Kadri, my hope is for him to be involved. But what makes that work?

Pre Edit: Avs are killing the Sharks. MacKinnon. Wow.

If the Leafs are offering any of the three players mentioned, it better be Duschene coming back.

You'd have to think they would consider it. Trading the captain is unlikely, O'Rielly has serious cap issues which no Leafs mentioned do, and Stastny doesn't match up in terms of value.

Reimer for Stastny makes some sense.
Kadri, Jake, and Reimer for Duchene + makes even more sense.

Also, what was so offensive about my Chicken Little thread, mister moderator?

I thought it might class the place up.

This is really more of a Titus Andronicus Leafs message board.

In the last two seasons, The Leafs have had Fraser, Phaneuf, Franson, O'Bryne, Gunnarsson, Ranger, even Gardiner, and now Gleason who've been in the top 60 for hits.  Either they call anything a hit in Toronto, or Carlyle wants a defenseman that is willing to throw a hit.  So if Kadri is traded, don't be surprised if it's for a defenseman who can hit.  Now whether he can do anything else... that's not a prime concern is it?

Or the other team always has the puck = more opportunities for hits.  Can't hit when you have the puck.

I think it's this and the ACC scorer. At home Franson throws 4.2 hits per game. Away it's 3.1. Phaneuf throws 3.0 hits at home and 2.0 away.

Oh it's predominantly the ACC scorer.  At home, they are averaging 16.4 giveaways per game.  On the road they are averaging 6.2 giveaways per game.

I've heard that about a lot of teams though. I wonder if that doesn't even out at the end.

I've always wonder about that.  Who does it?  And why is their negativity allowed to fester in Toronto.  Do they get paid by the hit/giveaway they record?

Kadri shouldn't be traded.  Let a young player actually work through some struggles for once in Toronto without bombarding him with trade rumours as soon as he hits a rough patch.

In most cases I would back that type of analogy, but I'm much more agreeable to trading youth for youth, providing the trade has the potential to be a steal for the Leafs. I believe Gagner will become the better player of the two, perhaps by a substantial margin.
