Kings @ Leafs - Dec. 11th, 7:30pm - TSN, TSN 1050

Tonight game is going to be mystery of sorts, either the defense comes up to fill Dions play or it will be a complete blow out. I am hoping that Benier has a career game and leafs can come out ahead. But I dont expect them win. I hope they do. GLG

They are pretty much getting a night off tonight too.  Up 6-0 against Montreal.

Yup. They were up by 5 halfway through the 2nd. They were basically running out the clock for half the game.

I watched most of that game until the end of the 2nd. Thanks a LOT Habs for letting LA have a nice skate around and a relaxing evening.  >:(

Mr. Optimist here, holding out hope that sometimes teams play their best when down one of their best players like this.  :o

Plus every player on the team played at least 10:00 - spread the ice-time around.  They won't be tired.

Jonathan bernier and martin jones are the expected starters tonight. #TMLtalk

No Scrivens tonight? That's disappointing.

2nd game of a BTB for them, and we are well-rested and playing at home.  A well-coached team, like we are, will come out firing on all cylinders and quickly take control of the game, never letting them back in it.  Easy.

I also expect a very one-sided game.

I'm actually expecting a very close game tonight.

You can probably blame the Habs for that. Jones got the shutout last night and some coaches don't like to take a goalie out after a shutout.

Yes I am optimistic, we played a very good game against SJ, they are a better team. Also I am not one of the many the sky is falling and tank version 2014. Sorry bout that. I do predict a win tonight.

They played a good 2nd period of the game against SJ and were thoroughly outclassed in the 1st and 3rd.

You said yourself you didn't watch the SJ game. All you're basing this on is the stats and the write ups. They did not play well that night. In fact, outside of a 10-12 minutes stretch in the 2nd period, they were thoroughly outclassed all night.

They played a good 1st half of the 2nd period against SJ. After they scored the two goals to tie it up the Sharks took over again. They went almost 8 minutes without a single shot attempt in the second half of that period.

That's what I said.  ;)

I'm having my wisdom teeth removed today so hopefully if things go south in the game I'll be so drugged up on painkillers and anti-inflammatories that even the fireplace channel would seem entertaining for 3 hours.
