Leafs 2015/2016 Schedule in 10 game chunks

And it's not like the West is worse than the East this season.  If my math is correct, the West is 131-97-26 vs. the East so far this season.

Yeah, though the West is weird this year. The Pacific division is basically a wasteland (and yet, the Leafs have done most of their damage against the Central).

Well I will submit my final argument:  ?\_(ツ)_/?

Looks like the Leafs should be voted the team from the east to play the west in the Stanley Cup, they seem to have a handle on these teams. Unless the Yotes make the playoffs

Leafs might go 7-3 in this chunk.  I can see them beating SJ.

Is the team in the bottom five before the trade-deadline sell-off?

I'd say yes. They're icing one of the most talent-poor rosters in the league, and their opponents are starting to take control of the possession game. I think they caught a few teams not taking them seriously enough early on, but the word is out now. I don't think their possession game will completely fall off the map, but it will regress - and with the lack of talent and the inconsistent goaltending . . . that's a bottom 5 team before they sell off pieces.

Not trying to be an ass or anything, genuinely.

Have you changed your mind on the bottom five thing?

I have said all season and maintain, this won't be a bottom five team before the sell-off.

I took a fair amount of heat for that statement, just wondering if you've softened on your stance some.

You took a lot of heat for that stance?  :o
I was shot into the sun.  ;D

What RedLeaf is trying to say is yes, prepare for a bottom-5 finish.

So if the pattern holds, they'll start this 10 game block with a loss, and therefore be sub 500 for the block.

Actually, if the pattern from the last 10 holds true, they should go win-win-loss-loss.

So, an interesting trend . . . rest of the season after a West Coast swing . . .

11/12 - 6-13-4
12/13 - no West Coast trip
13/14 - 2-12-0
14/15 - 7-22-3
15/16 - ??? 0-1-0 so far.

19 games to go before the trade deadline.  Leafs in good shape.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict a 2-8 chunk here, so polish up your dusty rose digital hilighter.

Let's see how this prediction goes:

0-3-0 since the West coast trip.

EDIT: Also, now 5 wins in 23 games against the East, but only 2 that weren't in the shootout.
