As much as we prefer to look at the season on the whole as the litmus test of what this team is capable of against round 1 opponent TBL, ~.500 hockey over the past 16 games isn't filling me with a lot of confidence.

11-9 is also a bit disingenuous. 

The Leafs are 11-6-3 over their last 20 games.  That's 102 point pace (.625 PT%). The Leafs on the season have a .665 PT% which puts them on 109 point pace.  So they aren't really that far off their typical point pace. 

Using raw wins/losses is kind of meaningless when 3 on 3 and shootouts don't exist in the postseason but do during the regular season.

What?s different in the last 20 games than the last 20 last year?

The player turnover at the deadline.

It?s taken more than a just a few games to determine where all the new players fit into the lineup and who they gel best with.

That alone costs them some points down the stretch for sure .
