I'm on board with blowing up the D.  Blowing it up goooood.

Well, it would be nice if the forwards gave them a little more support on the break outs, instead of flying the zone and then standing around at the red line or the other team's blue line.

On orders of RC, though?  We can't be a "rush team," you know.

I'd love to be able to know what Carlyle is teaching in practice to see who is screwing it up.  If he's telling them to do something or the players aren't doing what he wants them to do.

The Leafs look like they are missing half of their regular defense core tonight compared to the Blues. It's pretty easy see the difference between the two clubs. But Nonis didn't bother to improve the back end. He tried to strengthen the forward unit instead.  ::)

To be fair, he did pursue Scuderi.

The fact that it's basically everyone who is doing it makes me believe it's along the lines of what Carlyle wants. So, whatever Carlyle is trying to get them to do, either they don't get it or it just flat out doesn't work. Either way, a change in tactics is required.

Slim pickings to be sure. Phaneuf ain't going nowhere next year.

My accolades are easy tonight: Kule & McClement for a perfect PK against one of the best PPs in the league.

Wow. I'm impressed at how many of you have the constitution to sit through a game like this. I couldn't last 10 minutes.

I'm glad Steen scored.  Always liked him.

I decided to come back to the Leaf game PiP and saw the replay of the previous 4 goals and then thought I miscounted as there was another one.  I then realized it was live and our Leafs got scored on again.

If you heard what Burke said he was looking for when he took over the Leafs 4 days after Steen was traded by interim GM Fletcher, you would think he was describing this Blues team.  They are solid.  They can skate, hit, fight and score.
