McClement and Holland with virtually equal ice time so far - though, part of that is due to McClement's PK time.

Yeah at even-strength Holland is ahead. But I'll be very curious to see what Randy does in the 3rd if the Leafs keep the lead.

Would anyone be surprised to see our PK improve now McClement is playing less minutes?

That's a good point I hadn't thought about.

It is and I think it will improve things, he'll certainly be fresh when he gets out there.

I still don't understand this Diamond pk we are using.

Last year didn't they swarm the man with the puck more?

They were waaaaaaay more aggressive last season on the PK.

It was a very aggressive box. Don't know why they would change it?. Carlyle *shakes fist*

Sit back, "protect the lead", learn nothing!

Clarkson still sucks.

A-yup.

On that skate-around all he had to has drop it to one of the D-men and there would have been potential for a point shot.  He actually had made a good play up to then.  But he went all hoggo instead.

Rask 9-1-0 vs Leafs...

Way to stick it to his old employers....

He was never employed by the leafs

Leafs drafted him. Another one of JFJ's great moves. That ahole set this franchise back a few years.

I know the leafs drafted him, I'm not new around here. But the leafs never employed him.

The NESN feed showed that the Leaf's first goal was slightly offside.  That must be one of the first times this year that we get a break from a bad call.

The first goal was from a face-off inside the zone. Sure didn't look like the puck came out to me. That's the only way it could have been offside.

I took drafting him as employing him. Yeesh. Tough crowd.

I can't even begin to explain how great that PP looked with Gardiner on it instead of Franson.

I've been saying they needed to do that switch 40 games ago.  Not that the PP has been bad, but I think having a puck mover back there is a good thing.

You are right but the feed showed that it was barely past the line when Gardiner shot the puck.  He showed such  a great instinct there and should be playing the PP as someone else noted all the time.  It is almost scary that the consensus on some of the players here (McClement  Gardiner and Holland) is more insightful than Carlyle's assessment of the team's talent.
