Leafs @ Bruins - Nov. 9th, 7:00pm - CBC, SN 590

Phaneuf you lazy bum.  He coasted in on that puck and it gave Boston the EN goal.  Here's an idea Carlyle.  Don't play him half the game.

Wow, Phanuef just gave up.  I can't believe it.  He just let the guy have the puck, like he wanted to lose immediately.  Disgusting effort by Phanuef.

He had an excellent game up til then.

I would sit Phanuef for a game for that effort right there.  That was egregious.  He just quit on the team and the game.

Lazy might be harsh, especially considering that second point you made. And how played 27:06 last night in New Jersey with 7 defencemen on the bench is beyond me. Even with overtime it shouldn't have been that much.

So that means he can give up and let the team score?  He just quit, right on the ice.

On one hand, the team is banged up, they're on the road, and they played last night.  That's a lot stacked against them.

On the other hand, if they had only come out to play in the 1st period, this might have at least made it to OT.

I can swallow this, though.  Wasn't expecting a win, glad it wasn't a bloodbath.

Lazy is being generous.  He completely gave up.

They should have gone with 7 D-men tonight.

I get why they kept Fraser for a game like this, but Rielly would have been a big help compared to playing Bodie and McLaren 2 minutes each.

For sure have gone to OT without the JVR penalty

No, that means he had an excellent game up til then.  It's an observation, not an excuse.

Unfortunately that JVR penalty was the turning point.

They could have called several BOS elbows....  Still, we didn't score on the one makeup they did gift us, so can't lay this one on the refs.
