Depends on where and how deep. It could be season ending, but he could also be back next weekend. There's a real wide range of potential outcomes here.

Leg laceration for Bolland. Will not return.

That could be season ending injury

That's probably over exaggerating at this point. Ryan Getzlaf suffered a leg laceration a few years ago and only missed 4 games. Doing a quick google search on the injury and there's a bunch of players who missed between 1-6 weeks as well. Zach Redmond suffered a leg laceration injury that almost ended his career though.

It didn't seem like Bolland was in too much pain so that's a plus. Granted I expect him to miss some time but I wouldn't jump to any conclusions yet and say it could be a full season.

I feel like any cut on the achilles and we're talking 2+ months but I'd love to be wrong

Sure, if the cut was deep enough to actually get to the tendon. We don't really know anything about it right now other than Bolland has a cut on the leg that's bad enough for him not to return tonight.

Can someone who has actually played hockey tell me if there's any way we can know whether Kassian intended to injure Bolland? Kassian broke Gagner's jaw with his stick and got an 8-game suspension. But what do the replays tell us in this case?

I don't want to see those two exploding into each other or whatever is happening.

Lol. Man glad I wasn't the only person uncomfortable with that PJ Stock / Weeks segment.

Is there anyway we can get one of our college or junior centre prospects onto the team as an emergency call up?

It doesn't seem like we have pivots with skill on the Marlies that can step in.

No Player would ever deliberately slice another player ankle.  It was an unfortunate accident.

Probably an accident, but, still reckless.
