Is there anyway we can get one of our college or junior centre prospects onto the team as an emergency call up?

It doesn't seem like we have pivots with skill on the Marlies that can step in.

Only if the Leafs can legitimately make an argument that they can't get someone up from the Marlies in time - and, even then, it can only be for one game and only a prospect that isn't under contract with the Leafs yet (I think - that was how it worked with the Leafs brought Kadri up for one game the season after he was drafted). Considering the 5 day layoff, they don't really have a case for a move like this.

Franson/Rielly have been on for most even strength goals against for Leafs coming into this game, and have been on for both even strength goals against tonight.

Can someone who has actually played hockey tell me if there's any way we can know whether Kassian intended to injure Bolland? Kassian broke Gagner's jaw with his stick and got an 8-game suspension. But what do the replays tell us in this case?

Probably an accident, but, still reckless.

It's hard to prove, but in sports an athlete can disguise a dirty play in a seemingly innocent sequence of events.

Happens in soccer all the time.

They both have a tendency to leave their partner hung out to dry.

Tonight has been awful, but, in terms of timing for this type of performance, this might be ideal. The Leafs now have a bunch of practices where the coaching staff will hopefully really reinforce how much they need to improve their puck possession game, and coming off a performance like tonight, the players might just be a little more receptive than they have been so far.

Yup, this is a reality check, for sure. Better now, than closer to the playoff run.

At least Reimer has been very, very good.

Aside from the 3rd goal he's been excellent and the game would have been a complete blowout long before now if not for him.
