Leafs @ Coyotes - Jan. 20th, 8:00pm - LeafsTV, SN 590

If the puck is bouncing off your forearm/chest that is out in front of you, how can you get called off-side as you skate into the offensive zone.

Holland with a fantastic setup for Bodie on that 2-on-1.  Bodie swings and whiffs.

Sure was.  He was real patient, waited for the d man to go down.

It was a soft feed too.  A lot of players would rush that pass and try and flip it over the defender's legs.  Holland skated past it and slid the pass on the ice to give a better set-up.  I really like a lot of his instincts as a player.

Overall, a pretty solid effort from the Leafs so far.  They got hemmed in their own end on a shift or two but they have come back and had a few good shifts of their own.

Does anyone have a note of the team's record with and without Clarkson?

Without him the side seems more fluent or something

When they dealt for Gleason I badmouthed him, thought he was a has-been.  So far he's been more of a still-is.

With Clarkson: 16-15-5  (9 regulation wins)
Without Clarkson: 9-5-0  (8 regulation wins)

I guess. Leafs have had the better chances, it definitely feels like the Coyotes have had the puck more.

Gardiner!

And for all the criticism of Phil Kessel.  He took some physical contact to keep that play going.

That's because you don't have Clarkson trying to carry the puck into the opposing zone 1 on 4.

Probably too small a sample size to say much, and hard to argue one player (excepting goalies) can have such an impact but kind of interesting.
