I do not understand with 1:30 or so a 5/3 why they don't move the damn puck more right from the get-go.
Why don't they try to get garbage goals? They hardly ever try to take a shot off the pads and grab the rebound.

Exactly.  Run a set play where someone comes off the perimeter and takes a hard shot from in close.

I'd say that 80-90% of 5 on 3 goals I've seen in my life have either been from cross ice passes that get the goalie moving side to side or from guys getting room in the slot.

Team will go as far as Freddy takes them plain and simple.
True of most teams I would say. You're always sunk with trash goaltending.

Oh for sure but how many teams goaltender is their MVP? I truly think Freddy is ours. Without him we'd be a lottery team and I'm not talking just this year.

Well, that was a bummer. Can't help but feel somewhat personally responsible after the whole "They haven't lost in regulation when leading after 2 all year" thing.

They probably didn't deserve the score in VAN and this evens it up I guess.  The most disappointing thing is the 5 on 3.

The team quit at the end.  No effort in this final stretch with the net empty.
Did they really quit? I don't know if I buy that apart from that the depth scoring wasn't there tonight.

I think the three goals against in two and half minutes was worse.

Mikheyev had that one fantastic shift but he hasn't scored a goal in 6 weeks.

It was.  But it wasn't the most disappointing.

Quit, really no.  But the energy just wasn?t there for them to make a comeback

Agreed. They didn't quit. Bad couple of minutes.

I wasn?t talking about the loss as a whole.  I think the Leafs outplayed Calgary and were the better team.  It was more the lack fo energy once the goalie was pulled.  They just didn?t have anything left to mount a comeback attempt
