Leafs @ Hurricanes - Oct. 25th, 7:00pm - SN, Fan 590

The Sens were down 4-1 going into the second and they battled back to tie it against Washington.

I clearly don't understand hockey anymore, I may need to move to another sport.

The chipped teeth look good on Marner. Boy needs a fire lit under his ass. I'm feeling more and more disenchanted with him, but I guess we're stuck with him.

I have not seen anyone do anything since the Matthews goal.  Did they just think everything was all ok after that?

I am at the point where I hate when I know they have a game because I'm 100% sure I'll be in a bad mood later than night.

It's called compete, battling something this team and especially core lack. Talent can do a lot for you but if you're not putting in 100% what good is it. Some of these guys don't have it.

I can't watch the game.  How are we doing?

Remember last year when the team really needed a win in the playoffs to move on to the next round and they had three chances to do it?  Like that.

:(

I was really hoping in 2017 when we had Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Kadri, Kapanen, Johnsson, Connor Brown, Hyman and Rielly that we had the makings of a young core that could carry us until 2027.  Kadri, Hyman and Rielly were on good value contracts.

I really want to see the Leafs win a Cup.

You may have to watch a tape from 1967.

You must be thrilled so far this season. This kind of play is really what gets your mojo going.

Yeah, it seems so long ago.  I mean we as fans had the optimism after drafting Matthews, and we were all dreaming that this team was going to be like the Hawks.  The team had some franchise players to build around, some cornerstone superstars that could be in the discussion for second best player in the league (I mean, there is only one McDavid).  Now this is a confused dysfunctional team that looks like half of them are interested and the other half are scared.  And as fans we just have to put up with embarrassing moment after embarrassing moment while having our hopes dashed game after game and year after year.  All we wanted as fans was a team we could be proud of, and here we are wondering why they are struggling just to win a game.

I think they've made a number of critical management mistakes, not least of which is they should have given Sandin & Liljegren more time in-season last year.  I would have cut ties with Rielly last year.

People think Dubas & Keefe are safe this year.... a couple more weeks of performances like this.....

I honestly don't get as wound up or stressed as I used to believe it or not. Between how the league has went, how Dubas has screwed this team I don't watch as much. Told my kid who is also a Leaf fan until this core changes and Dubas is sent packing in my opinion this team isn't going anywhere.
