Leafs Injury Updates

Fanatic

We have a separate thread for Reimer, but we can't really have one each for Grabo, MacArthur, Komi, Brown, Lombardi etc.

I guess we could do this in the Line Up Changes thread, but with so many injuries I was thinking it wouldn't hurt to have a thread that attempts to keep track of the upper and lower body injuries that plague the Leafs right now.

Armstrong also.

7 regulars.  Wow, that is some bad luck right now.

Hopefully we can tread water for the next 2-3 weeks.

I mentioned Komi. Who are the 7?

1. Reimer
2. Komisarek
3. Grabovski
4. Brown (assumed since he was a last minute scratch last night)
5. Lombardi
6. MacArthur

Who am I missing?

If anyone knows what is actually wrong with any of these guys that would be nice. "Upper or lower body" is getting old.

Armstrong.

Edit:  My first post was to say Armstrong also.

If Komisarek injury is as bad as some think, look for Aulie or Holzer. Up front, Colborne is healthy and ready.

He's not worth in the lineup, but I still think Orr is hurt/not the same since his concussion.

Couple that with all the injuries in the AHL and we are getting decimated.

And another #Leaf to the locker room, this time Komisarek who blocked a big blast.

Lombardi just left the arena with his left arm in a sling. Komisarek had a jacket over his right arm so hard to tell how hurt he is. #leafs

REPORT: Mrs. Lombardi and Mrs. Komisarek have both been placed in the #Leafs' witness protection program.

From Howard Berger:

At the risk of being accorded the "Feschuk" treatment, I will pass along that Lombardi - the former Predator - walked to the team bus with his left arm resting at a 45-degree angle in a sling while the well-trained Komisarek chose to hide his right hand and forearm beneath a black sport-jacket.

If these ailments are as serious as my eyes were led to believe, the Leafs will be down six regular skaters for the game against Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals on Saturday.

I don't think Berger knows what humour is.

Recent injuries to Grabovski (knee, two weeks)

Seigel confirms what I suspected - that Grabbo hurt his knee. I hadn't seen that previously. Per Wilson, the two weeks is a minimum and that could change if swelling is preventing a good MRI (as it often can).

What happened to Franson?

Franson may play but they will always have a 7th on the team. So if Komi is down then a D gets called up.

My bad, perhaps they should have let him play his former team.  He's been sitting around for a while.
