In draft pick news things are at least looking ok.

Washington is up 2-1 on St. Louis.  A win and they jump in front of the Leafs.  Ottawa is up 3-1 on the Islanders and would move to within 2 points of the Leafs.

Hope from the ashes...

Nashville tied midway through the 2nd. They could pull within a point of the Leafs with a win.

Just got back from Shoeless joe's watching on the big screen.
It's the lack of finishing that is killing em again.
No one wants to get dirty, and make the needed effort.
It's mostly perimeter passing and shooting.

Aww well another lost season.
Seen this so many years and it's getting beyond annoying.

The game on Thursday against the Panthers should be some top quality hockey. Two teams that don't have anything to do but play out the string, and don't have any sort of real rivalry between them.

Carter Ashton's big offensive opportunity - 7:32, 4th least ice-time on the team.

It's really too bad. I thought that line did a pretty decent job of keeping the puck in the offensive zone on a few of their shifts.

That was my impression as well, but over most of the season. Lots of overpassing, and players seemingly refusing to go to the net and score those dirty 2 foot rebound goals.

Has he looked dangerous even once?

Sort if why they went all out for Clarkson (and Bolland), eh?  8)

Bolland was doing that before he got hurt, and they were a better team because of it. Clarkson has been a disaster in that dept.
