Leafs @ Lightning - Apr. 8th, 7:30pm - SN, TSN 1050

Well, at least our exit wasn't completely humiliating as it has been in the past.

We kind of just scurried out through a crack in the subfloor.

That's all the positives I got right now.

I'd say it was pretty humiliating considering their position not too long ago and how many points other teams got to pass, then eliminate, them in that time.  Getting zero points in 8 games in the 3-point NHL is very rare.

It's a feat accomplished by only one team this season! We're #1! We're #1! We're #1!

Dang. Let's hope no one notices.

Yet, something tells me that that death-blow tailspin may not have happened, or not to the degree it happened, had Bernier not gone down with injury. Sure, they didn't win right away upon his return, but I can't see him losing all those games in a row that Reims did either.

Oh well. It happened, and now its time to fix the underlying problems that were sure to flare up again and again, if that slide had never occurred. So, maybe we needed Reimer to show management that it wasn't sustainable without some upgrades, namely to the blue line.
