is it too soon to say MotM = Kessel?

He had the wind knocked out of him

Thankfully that seems to be all it was. Looked a lot worse at first glance.

It just struck me -- if Kadri did get seriously injured, we would be so screwed.  Is Tim Connolly still available?

If not I have Travis Green's # on JFJ's old speeddialer.

Just tuned in.

Kessel has such incredibly good hands, and he's also tied for 3rd in points now.

Sundin scored one from farther out but about the same angle against the Isles a few years ago ... and effin' Kerry Fraser waived it off for goaltender interference.  But point is, it takes an special talent to score a goal like Kessel just did.

Dude, how do you even remember something like that?

Well, before the goal, I was going to say that I liked the game that Ashton is playing.  He is doing well recovering pucks in the offensive zone and maintaining control.  I don't really care if he scores -- he is chewing up time in the offensive zone so the other team can't and their defenders tire a little.  I saw this last game too.  He's the kind of 4th-liner I'd like to see on this team.  A 4th line of him, McClement and, perhaps Bodie or Leivo or something like that would be an excellent 4th line I wouldn't be afraid to play on a consistent basis.

We won the Kessel trade. True story.

If anyone, anywhere still questions that, they're crazy.

If it's still a Kessel/Seguin debate, Seguin is playing pretty well this year.

If we're just talking Bruins/Leafs, the Bruins won the Cup and still have Doug Hamilton to show for it.

I love Kessel and would rather him than Seguin, but I think we're still years away from determining a real winner there. Probably a wash, if anything.

Well, it was an incredible shot, and on top of that the disallowed goal cost us a point that night.  And that was one of those years where we missed the playoffs by a point.  IIRC....

And yeah, also what LHF said!
