Poor kid. They should have left Hutch in there until after this team learns to play defense.
For everyone who thought the problem was Hutch...hint, hint...not so much.

I have no idea what firing Babcock ultimately would or wouldn't mean but I think it's going to be very very hard to build a winner in an environment where after the record Babcock has had here, he can't have 20 lousy games without fans calling for his head.

I don't think anyone thought the problem was Hutchinson specifically but rather having to win with a league minimum backup. Kasiskuo also being bad just shows that it's still hard to do that.

Hmm, Barrie with a weird dump in for an easy turnover, and then a really weird backcheck marking someone who was already covered...

They knew he wasn't a great defender ... but what the hey, Kyle thinks, let's get him anyway and you can have Kadri.
Sorry but Kadri had to go after his display the last 2 playoffs. They got Kerfoot out if the deal along, with Barrie. Amazing how a 60 point guy is struggling so much in Babs' system. Blood is on everyone's hands but more on Babs then anyone.

They have been the essence of mediocrity for a lot longer than 20.

I think that Babcock is the kind of a coach that wants the same type of role players he's had in the past with previous teams, and if he doesn't get that he'll try to turn players into something they're not. To me it's obvious that Dubas and Babcock have different ideas of what it takes and Babcock wont adjust. I think that there's bad blood between them no matter what they tell the media. Imo it's up to Shanny to decide now, either Dubas or Babcock.

I don't disagree with any of that. What I disagree with is the idea that Babcock is doing this to prove a point to Dubas and not just a stubbornness about the right way to coach this group.
Well, I can't understand how Babcock isn't doing something about Ceci. It seems like he's the only person on the planet who thinks he should play that much. Give Holl or Dermott a chance. Ceci's ice time is on Babcock.

Yup and his use of players had been questionable to say the least.

Go back over the last 3 years and count how many times I posted how horrible we were and still are to this day defensively.

All of you guys who defend this idiot shame on you.

Regardless of personnel have to fix what ain?t working and he hasn?t don?t that in his whole time here.

I hope the Penguins hit double digits tonight so maybe just maybe we don?t have see his mug behind the bench or have to listen to his bulls**t post game comments.

Sorry everyone that?s how I feel.

They can fire Babcock but that isn't going to solve the poorly constructed D corps.
I agree with that, but Babcock could give Holl and Dermott more icetime, give Ceci less, and play Barrie more to his strengths.
